yes. i'm running for mayor

I, Breaksit the goldfish, founder and owner of BRK Logistics, am participating in the local elections for St. Peter. I'm going to keep it simple, so if you'd like to convince yourself that I'm the right man.. sorry, fish for the job, head over to my proposed projects and investments for the town, listed below.

large scale projects

highway interchange

St. Peter is located right next to A3, one of the core highways in Yellow Hill. However, the two have never been connected.

To resolve this, one of my ambitious projects is to construct an interchange capable to withstand the large volume of traffic.

Computer-generated model of the interchange

This is a way to connect St. Peter to both the N10 and A3, making use of the existing road. It also represents a way to connect the two important towns, St. Peter and Bergburg, which will benefit of a more direct route to the highway. The project will be funded by both mayors, hence the larger scale.

ferry to the trains!

Because one connection is never enough, I'm planning a ferry route along the river Gelben to Bergburg. This will not only represent one more, traffic-free option to get between the two towns, but also a boost in tourists, who will be able to take in the breathtaking scenery from the boat.

This will work in conjunction with the ferry route to Ternat, linking the village with Bergburg by water as well.

With this ferry will also come an internal bus route, so the ferry stop would be more accessible to the locals. Finally, we will offer a park and ride service along the bus line.

one with nature

At this point in time, St. Peter has a few plazas, and only one park in the making, leaving no green areas within the town. To change that, I will work hard to bring nature closer to the locals. Residential areas where the construction is yet to commence will be repurposed to house parks with playgrounds for the little ones, and leisure areas will be built in the town itself.

One of those areas would be the canal. I am planning to acquire a number of hydro bicycles, so that citizens will be able to paddle along the historic part of the town.

the sun on our side

This will be the most impactful project of them all. That's because, at this point in time, electricity is St. Peter's largest expense. To combat it, I will have a solar farm as one of my top priorities, because not only is literally free power, but it's also renewable, making St. Peter a green town.

This is all well and good, but how about the money this project will save? Well, it will go towards the construction of the very first amusement park in the region! Located on the bank of the river Gelben, this park will represent a boost in tourists and the local economy.

One more benefit would be that if we produce more power than we need, the town will be able to lend a helping hand to Ternat and Bergburg, providing power at a much lower cost than the grid.

secondary projects

healthier roads

Right now, St. Peter has nice roads only thanks to Bergburg. So, to improve the service quality in both towns and to reduce service time, I am planning to invest in a road maintenance depot for St. Peter. It will serve our roads, and will conduct repairs on the N10 and A3 where necessary.

let there be light

St. Peter has been left in the dark by its previous mayor, and it's about time we changed that. I will do my best to bring light into the town, making it more alive and safer at night. I will organize a meeting with the governor of Yellow Hill, in which we will discuss the terms for that to happen. Citizens will be involved too.
